We first started out bank Account when it
was Girobank but a few years later it was
taken
over by the Alliance & Leicester. Not much
has changed since the changeover except that
the envelopes which wre prepaid in which to
pay in cheques or other transactions such as
paying bills you now have to put a stamp on.
During previous years my Husband and I have
had bank accounts with most of the big name "High
Street Banks" but when they charged too
much for services or other upsets we moved
from one to the other before finding this one.
Go for the Alliance & Leicester Premier
Current Account. I really recommend it. It
pays 3.14% APR (2.48% net)
and you can go online and use their new improved
online banking. I think you will be surprised
how easy it is to run this account as you can
go to your nearest Post Office to withdraw
money (free) and also to pay your cheques in
(free) but if you send them in the post you
need a stamp (but they do provide the envelopes
to put them in free) Also the telephone staff
are friendly and helpful.
Check it out.A little edited note you do
need to pay in £500.00 a month with
this account.
